We meet to chat about the issues of the day in the Gods Room in Morrab Library.
We agree on a topic, one of us introduces it with a few brief comments, all are then invited to contribute their thoughts – if they wish to – and we then open up for general discussion. Topics have included:
- Nationality and Britishness
- What makes for a Good Third Age
- Black Lives Matte
- “Follow the Science?” – introduced by David Holmes
- Whither Education – introduced by Gill McNeill
The key principle of all u3a discussion groups is that we discuss in a calm and mature manner and respect views that may differ from our own, opening our minds to others’ perceptions.
