The Painting Group – meets every Monday morning from 10 to 12 noon at my studio in Penzance.
When you arrive you will find a ‘Still Life’ assemblage of objects to draw or paint.
You may prefer to use pencil charcoal watercolour acrylic, or other medium or combination of these.
We sit around a large table, and are restricted to a maximum of eight.
Little formal teaching occurs although if sought, members of experience are very willing to assist beginners.
A relaxed atmosphere prevails with a little classical music and occasional conversation about technique, or Art in general.
Coffee and biscuits are provided midway, at a cost of £1.00
There is no further charge.
At the end of the session we have a brief ‘Crit’, well known to students, when we view all of our work with a friendly but critical eye. We never fail to be amazed how the same objects are viewed with different eyes!
As we clean up we are relaxed but also exhausted. Pleased we have made the effort to improve our work.
